For the fourth year in a row, Istria was proclaimed the best olive region in the world

Recently, the world’s only guide to extra virgin olive oil with proven quality – Flos Olei 2019 – has officially been introduced in Rome.

This year, the presentation was particularly interesting for Istria, as 79 Istrian olive growers were included in the new edition of the famous guide, making Istria the best region of extra virgin olive oil in the world for the fourth year in a row.

In addition to the above-mentioned success, Istria celebrated another significant prize in the category of TOP 20 best oils in the world. The lead Vodnjan company Oleum Maris was declared the best “company to take off” in the world.

In the main presentation hall of the exclusive hotel Westin, the Tourist Board of the Istrian County had a space for promotion where information material was distributed and numerous indigenous products of Istria were presented, causing a great interest of the audience.

“It was a very useful occasion to meet with numerous customers and dealers of extra virgin olive oil in the world, which will certainly contribute to the fact that Istria is even more positioned and branded as a world destination of extra virgin olive oil”, they emphasize from the Tourist Board of Istra.
