Ideally situated northwest of the town of Saint-Émilion, bordering on the Pomerol appellation, Château La Dominique has 29 hectares of remarkable soil adjoining the region’s most famous vineyards. The owner’s (Fayat family) clear ambition is to be in tune with their terroir: the respect for biodiversity, the use of natural vine treatment products, mating disruption, etc. After renovating the vineyard and modernizing the winemaking facilities, they engaged the internationally-acclaimed architect Jean Nouvel to make a project of the cellar which is today one of Bordeaux’s most beautiful modern cellar. The wine is an elegantly styled Saint-Émilion with medium/full body, silky tannins and offers a complex aromatic profile that ages well.
