Many properties in the Pessac-Léognan appellation produce both a red and dry white wine. However, what distinguishes Château Malartic Lagravière is that it is one of only six Bordeaux châteaux that achieved the Graves classification in 1953 of both their red and white wines. In 2015, they were also certified as Haute Valeur Environnementale, which is the highest of three levels of environmental certification. The 53 hectares estate, including 7 hectares of white, has been completely renovated: both vineyard and technical facilities benefit from highest standards of equipment and methods of work (integrated farming, entirely gravity process,…). Ch. Malartic Lagravière is now renowned as being among the best wines in Bordeaux.
