The Pavičić brothers have been involved in viticulture and winemaking since they were young as it’s a centuries-old tradition in the family. The picturesque family house and adjacent konoba (wine-cellar) have recently been refurbished to serve as not only a cellar but also a tasting room. Milko and Luka produce the Pavičić wine labels in a partnership and focus on single varietal wines from the autochthonous grape varieties, Bogdanuša, Pošip and Plavac mali. Their winemaking is characterised by low interference in order to ensure as many varietal, natural flavours and aromas as possible.

Made from a selection of Bogdanuša grapes from one the best vineyards in the UNESCO protected Stari Grad Plain, Pavičić Bogdanuša Selection is a structured expression of Bogdanuša. The wine retained its bright, mineral backbone, but with added layers of depth and complexity. Pale gold in the glass, it would open with aromas of ripe yellow apple, lemon curd, and wildflowers, intertwined with hints of wet stone and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it reveals a richer texture, still crisp and refreshing but with a fuller body. Flavors of white peach, quince, and a touch of honey unfold, balanced by a vibrant acidity that dances on the tongue. A gentle, lingering finish would carry whispers of sea breeze and subtle almond notes, reflecting the careful selection of the grapes and the essence of the island’s terroir.
