Viticulture in Bosnia was almost completely eradicated due to historical circumstances. The last wine-growing parcels of land were recorded in the maps of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.
Following the favorable climate and soil, a team of enthusiasts headed by Mr. Vinko Zovko decided to return to the land and its roots and revived viticulture in the area of Žepče. Very quickly they planted approx. 60ha of vineyards, bought more land for future vineyards and built a winery.
The name of the winery, POVRATAK, which translates as RETURN, represents the desire for the demographic recovery of this region. For this purpose, a cooperative was founded, whose members get to use the vineyards, with complete know-how and purchase at a fair price.
All wines are produced without the use of pesticides, and completely ecologically.
