Once upon a time, every household in Herzegovina had their own vineyard planted with Žilavka, Blatina, and other autochthonous varieties. The rulers and masters changed, wars happened and the state borders changed, but the wine, remained, and it is a part of the Herzegovinian past, present, and future. This is how the story of Škegro family begins. A story where tradition has been passed from knee to knee to eventually become something that the whole family enjoys doing. Bright, clear greenish-colored. On the nose clean, with vegetative notes (peppers, root vegetables) and minerality. A recognizable, authentic scent. Dry, medium-full body. Refreshing acids, with excellently blended alcohol in a balanced structure that will eventually round off and harmonize. Pleasant textures and mid-length finish that call for one more sip. Mineral substrate and vegetation with discrete fruitiness in the direction of nuts.
